ダブルトール（Double Tall）

Double Tall is a speciality coffee shop perched on the second floor of a building just off Harajuku's main thoroughfare. The name nods to the coffee-obsessed ethos at its core, with a menu built around single-origin beans sourced from some of the best roasters in Japan and beyond. The brewing methods span pour-over, aeropress and espresso, giving coffee enthusiasts plenty to explore. Light food options such as sandwiches and pastries are available, though most visitors come for the expertly prepared drinks and the unhurried atmosphere that makes this a favourite with laptop-toting locals and visiting coffee pilgrims alike. Access is via a staircase leading up from street level, and the interior is compact but comfortable, with large windows letting in plenty of natural light. It is a welcome escape from the crowds below, and the baristas are genuinely knowledgeable and happy to talk through the day's offerings.
