Takeshita Street Halloween is a recurring street habit, not a Keyaki-kai programme. 31 October 2026 is a Saturday. Costumes show up on the 350 m pedestrian stretch in Jingumae 1-chome. The shopping street’s own hours stay 11:00–18:00. Shops sometimes hand sweets to people in costume. There is no official start time, no stage, no published headcount for 2026.
Do not mix it with the Omotesando Pumpkin Parade on Sunday 25 October. That one is children, sold-out passes, and a traffic plan. Do not mix it with KAWAII MONSTER LAND on B1F of Takeshita Street Square. That one is a paid overlay through 3 November. Locals who want a quiet shrine that day use Togo, one block off. Cat Street is the other walk.
Shibuya scramble is south of the valley. The ward’s 2026 line is that the crossing is not a Halloween venue. Do not walk there from Harajuku looking for a festival. Street drinking rules around Shibuya Station still start at 18:00. Takeshita itself is already slow on a normal Saturday afternoon.
