About This Event / イベントについて
Omotesando Illumination 2026 is a Keyaki-kai walk. The association event list, the page to trust, says Tuesday 1 December 2026 to Tuesday 5 January 2027, planned. Theme: lights of thanks and hope, warm champagne-gold LED. Stretch: Jingumae crossing to Omotesando crossing. Free. No ticket.
Hours are not on that list. Mori Building’s CHRISTMAS HILLS 2026 release puts sunset–22:00, 1–25 December, planned, for the same stretch. Enjoytokyo copied 1–25 December. When JP sources disagree on the end date, Keyaki-kai wins on the window, Mori wins only as a planned clock. The /illumi/ page still advertised 1–28 December 2025 plus low shrubs to 5 January 2026, with FENDI Japan as sponsor. That is last year.
Walk from Harajuku downhill toward Aoyama after sunset. Weeknights are slower than Friday. Pair it with Hills only for the building. Forest of Lights is a timed park ticket, not this street. Locals use this as an after-work zelkova walk, not a Takeshita errand.
